Scope of Work
The contract involves Stairway, Ramp & Pavement Replacement at Central Public School, 140 Monroe Ave E, Renfrew, Ontario. The awarded work consists of the following key tasks:
Demolition and Site Preparation
- Removal of existing concrete stairway, ramp, and pavement.
- Proper disposal of all demolished materials in compliance with environmental regulations.
New Construction and Installation
- Concrete Stairway:
- Construction of a reinforced concrete stairway with non-slip treads.
- Installation of new handrails to meet accessibility and safety standards.
- Accessibility Ramp:
- Installation of a new concrete accessibility ramp compliant with Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA).
- Railings and edge protection to enhance pedestrian safety.
- Pavement Replacement:
- Removal and replacement of damaged pavement sections in designated areas.
- Application of asphalt and proper grading to ensure effective water drainage.
Finishing and Site Restoration
- Site grading, landscaping, and installation of tactile walking surface indicators.
- Final site cleanup, ensuring a safe and functional pedestrian corridor.
