Scope of Work

The contract involves Sidewalk and Lighting Upgrades at Centennial Manor, Bancroft, Ontario. The awarded work consists of the following key tasks:

Concrete Sidewalk and Accessibility Improvements

  1. Existing Sidewalk Removal and Site Preparation
    • Removal and disposal of existing deteriorated concrete sidewalks and curbs.
    • Excavation and grading to prepare for new sidewalk installation.
  2. New Concrete Sidewalk Installation
    • Pouring and finishing 1.5m wide, 125mm thick concrete sidewalks.
    • Adding tactile walking surface indicators (TWSI) at key crossing points for improved accessibility.
    • Compliance with Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA) standards.
  3. Lighting Upgrades
    • Replacement and installation of new energy-efficient LED street lighting along sidewalks.
    • Adjustment of lighting distribution to ensure optimal pedestrian visibility.
    • Installation of poles, conduit, and wiring upgrades.
  4. Final Site Restoration
    • Landscaping, topsoil placement, and hydroseeding in disturbed areas.
    • Final cleanup to ensure a safe, aesthetically pleasing environment.
