Scope of Work
The contract involves Sidewalk and Lighting Upgrades at Centennial Manor, Bancroft, Ontario. The awarded work consists of the following key tasks:
Concrete Sidewalk and Accessibility Improvements
- Existing Sidewalk Removal and Site Preparation
- Removal and disposal of existing deteriorated concrete sidewalks and curbs.
- Excavation and grading to prepare for new sidewalk installation.
- New Concrete Sidewalk Installation
- Pouring and finishing 1.5m wide, 125mm thick concrete sidewalks.
- Adding tactile walking surface indicators (TWSI) at key crossing points for improved accessibility.
- Compliance with Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA) standards.
- Lighting Upgrades
- Replacement and installation of new energy-efficient LED street lighting along sidewalks.
- Adjustment of lighting distribution to ensure optimal pedestrian visibility.
- Installation of poles, conduit, and wiring upgrades.
- Final Site Restoration
- Landscaping, topsoil placement, and hydroseeding in disturbed areas.
- Final cleanup to ensure a safe, aesthetically pleasing environment.
