Scope of Work

The contract involves the Sidewalk Replacement Project 2023 in the Township of King. The awarded work consists of:

• Sidewalk Removal and Replacement:
  • Removal and disposal of 236.86 m² of existing concrete sidewalks.
  • Application of saw cutting (230 m) to create smooth transitions between old and new surfaces.
  • Installation of new AODA-compliant pedestrian ramps to improve accessibility.
  • Placement of granular base material for sidewalk stabilization before pouring new concrete.
• Curb and Gutter Installation:
  • Installation of 100 m of new concrete curb and gutter to improve drainage and pedestrian safety.
  • Integration of curbs with existing stormwater management systems.
• Traffic Control and Site Safety:
  • Implementation of temporary pedestrian detours and work zone protection barriers.
  • Coordination of road closures as required for public safety.
  • Compliance with Ontario Traffic Manual (OTM) Book 7 regulations for work zone safety.
• Site Restoration:
  • Grading and placement of topsoil and sod to restore affected areas.
  • Removal of all construction debris and final site cleanup.
